I was gonna grill kabobs but heavy rain and lightning forced me to put that off for another day. The next best thing? Mongolian BBQ! I haven't had any in years, now I'm in love again! Also saw an NSX while I went to DQ for some ice cream. The plate read "hentai" haha, I see it around decently often.

Had those yesterday. I'm trying to grill as much as possible before cold weather hits.

Cold weather makes grilling better

My other reply was supposed to be to the main article. Don't know what happened.

I would usually agree, but my grill is on my deck with no cover, and cold weather in VA usually means some rain, wind, or snow.
I always do grill steaks on my birthday in December!

Costco chicken. An absolute steal at $5 ready to eat. Sometimes I don't even bother with side dishes. Tomorrow I'll probably use the leftovers to make tacos.

Can't go wrong with costco food. The hotdogs and pizza they have are both awesome, and really cheap too.

I've been going to Costco (and the pre-Merger Price Club) for over 30 years now, and in all that time they have not once raised the price of a 'dog and a drink - still $1.50 (although now you have to ask for the sauerkraut instead of it being out with the rest of the condiments). Even when I didn't have a membership I would hold onto my old card so that I could get in for a cheap bite.

Yeah $1.50 for a dog and a drink is fantastic. Everytime i pick up groceries (I go every other week) I get a dog before I start shopping. I did that old card trick too!

And here's another trick I only recently learned and is great for those like me that never carry cash - since the snack bar only takes cash, pay for your food when you checkout of the main grocery line and then show your receipt at the snack bar. It saves a bundle of time and works at the self-check as well as the regular checkout lines.

Thanks, that'll definitely come in handy!

I made baked penne for us. It was meh, not enough sauce. Meh pasta is still better than most things, though.

I love pasta. Totally right on the meh pasta. Even my pasta leftovers taste good, and I'm not even a crazy good cook.
